· Northern part of Rwanda: The Virungas--Volcanoes National Park (VNP) is home to more than half of the worlds population of the Mountain Gorillas and Golden Monkeys. It is also where Dian Fossey's grave site is located right next to where her beloved friend, Digit, is buried.
· North Eastern side of Rwanda (along the border of Tanzania): Akagera National Park is a national park that is 1,122 sq km (over 270,000 acres) of incredible wildlife and known for being the home to the Big Five! It is a haven for at least 525 species of birds and Heaven for Birdwatchers.
· Southwest side of Rwanda: Nyungwe Forest National Park is known for many wonders including being the home to habituated chimpanzees and 12 other primate species. This majestic and natural rain forest is filled with nature and wildlife experiences including the famous canopy walk. Nyungwe forest is referred to many as a birder's paradise, with over 300 species to enjoy!
· Western side of Rwanda: Beautiful Lake Kivu, the largest lake in Rwanda and sixth largest in Africa
